Patient G
This is my experience. I was caught in a loop similar to most people who use something to lift them up. It wasn’t always the case; at least I didn’t intend it to be that way. I started using OxyContin for recreation. I enjoyed the feeling, but like most people my body quickly adjusted to the drug. Instead of waking up to feeling refreshed and ready to go about my day, I noticed that it became extremely difficult to get out of bed. I needed the oxy to function normally in the morning. I didn’t intend to take the oxy in the morning, but my body required it to do my daily tasks. I am married with two children and I have to be at work by 8 am just like every other working person in America. After a few months, it became impossible to do anything without the oxy. I would wake up in the middle of the night withdrawing before it was even time to get up. I would break out in a sweat and my body would cramp. Every morning I felt like I was going to die. Instead of making me feel good, I needed to take the oxy just to feel normal. The cycle was never ending. There was no escape on my own. I burned through tens of thousands of dollars over the course of my time with oxy. Eventually my wife confronted me and I came clean. It was a relief and I told her about my experience and that I cannot physically stop taking oxy. She called around and found Dr. Howalt and his web site. She read about Suboxone and informed me of this so called wonder drug that greatly minimizes withdrawal to oxy and similar drugs. I called and got an appointment with Dr. Howalt that same day where he laid it all out on the table. His explanation of the disease of addiction and how to get out of the cycle made sense.
Suboxone was as advertised, a miracle drug! I received immediate relief. I came into the doctor Howalt’s office sweating, cramping, and miserable. I left his office with a clear head and no withdrawals! The next day while I was driving to work I had to call my wife to tell her about my drive. I told her that it was the first time in a long time that I felt normal in the morning. My head was clear and I was no longer in pain. I was no longer stuck in the nasty loop of drug addition. Suboxone set me free and it can set you free as well. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired every morning, then make the call that can help. Call Dr. Howalt and the San Luis Obispo Addiction Recovery Center. |
